The Intelligence
The Intelligence? Well, they don't come ambling up with a bounce in their stride and ask you how you're doin' with a big fake smile, they skitter up sideways like a crab and wait until you're asleep to pull up their sleeves and crawl into your ear. They sound like a group of mass murderers happily playing beach volleyball or deflated party balloons lying in a grey puddle of ground seepage and at least two times like every point in-between. When they don't feel like forming a whisper out the feint hum of a cheap refrigerator they come at you like that jerk that set off the volcano too soon, before everyone was good ready. They don't settle like a blanket of snow so much as bob real ugly like a rusty tugboat with holes in it getting bashed in tropical storms. They can make the simple sound like space-math & the complex sound like an ice cream scoop. All this from the department store diorama of the same cosmic disease that made that loner force his dogs to bark xmas carols. There's some things The Intelligence is, and there's more stuff that they ain't. They ain't normal. Normal, who needs it?
