Australia’s King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard were in NYC over the weekend for back-to-back shows at Baby’s All Right on Friday (5/16) and Saturday (5/17) that wrapped up their post-Psych Fest tour.

But who is in The Oh Sees now? Now living in Los Angeles, frontman John Dwyer has an all-new live touring lineup of the band and it’s a trio, with Nick Murray on drums and Timothy Hellman on bass.
The band are coming over to North American for Austin Psych Fest and will be touring afterwards, finishing up here in NYC with shows at Baby’s All Right on May 16 & 17.
As if to illustrate the point, late in his gloriously loud and raucous set, Segall covered “Mötörhead” by Mötörhead, one of a handful of truly heavy bands at the fest.

Mac DeMarco and his band played the 2013 M for Montreal twice last week. First, as Walter TV, where Mac just plays bass, with Pierce McGarry on vocals and guitar. Then on Saturday night, he headlined the 1000-capacity Club Soda.
