Prolific, garage-favouring jam band Thee Oh Sees are compiling yet another batch of their non-album tracks for a third Singles Collection. This latest edition arrives November 26 via band leader John Dwyer’s Castle Face Records imprint.
Jonathan Richman is Mac Demarco’s role model as “it seems like he’s just had a very enjoyable time his whole life”. Judging by his Scala show, Mac doesn’t seem to be struggling to replicate this lifestyle.
It’s probably too early to declare DeMarco one of a kind, but there’s more to him than the joking around.
When you say it’s “‘too loud,” that’s really code for, “This music sucks!” Dinosaur Jr. can never be too loud, for example. And wait till you hear Fuzz!
